Tournées Film Festival At Yeshiva University

The Tournées Film Festival is coming to Yeshiva University! This festival brings the best of contemporary French films to the YU community. Admission is free for YU affiliates. A $2 donation is kindly suggested for others.

LE PLAFOND DE VERRE (GLASS CEILING)In the documentary Plafond de verre, director Yamina Benguigui examines the integration of immigrants and women into the workplace and interviews experts who discuss the reasons behind workplace discrimination in France.

CHATS PERCHÉS (THE CASE OF THE GRINNING CAT)Chats perchés by Chris Marker documents the appearance of grinning yellow cat paintings on Paris buildings and public surfaces in 2001, examining the city’s changing social climate and the May ’68 slogan that claims La poésie est dans la rue (“Poetry is in the street”).
